  • Maduro and first lady Cilia Flores are charged in the U.S. with narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy and weapons offenses.
  • President Donald Trump has said the United States is "going to run" Venezuela for the foreseeable future and will tap into its oil reserves.
  • Trump has not ruled out putting U.S. troops on the ground in Venezuela. Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has maintained that Venezuela will defend its resources.

The woman shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday, Jan. 7, was identified by her mother as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. Good died just a few blocks from where she lived. A woman who answered the door at Good’s home declined to comment. Donna Ganger told the Minnesota Star Tribune that her daughter lived in the Twin Cities with her partner. Ganger said the family was notified of the death late Wednesday morning
